I am very sorry to hear that, Rob. Although I never had the opportunity to meet Norm personally, I know how instrumental he was in getting the RCT&HS going in those early days. My condolences to his family.

I will second those sentiments Tom... deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

I have heard of Norm and the train shop through postings here or in the RCT&HS publications.
Thanks,
Barry

Sorry to hear this sad news. Norman Rhoads and his train shop will always be a special memory for me. While on vacation as a teenager. I would always make it a top priority to stop at his hobbyshop. That not only was the highlight of those vacations. It introduced me to the RCT&HS. I will never forget my first copy of the Bee Line. The Caboose issue from 1984. I've been hooked ever since and I'm still a member after all these years.
He was an interesting character with a lot of big plans. He will be missed. My condolences to his friends and family,
John Caples

Norm took my RCTHS startup and with help ran with it. Under his leadership, the Fall Train Show started in 1980. Norm and his wife were long time friends.
