Finished my last two hoppers that were offered by TRM.Since it was established that 41306/315 were orange paneled as 41301 I choose to model them.I'm thinking these were used for stone service since they were stenciled return to Annville,so in future I'll have to get some stone loads.
On these two units I painted the panel a darker orange(insignia).I used Evergreen styrene angle item no.291 for the extra bracing and weathered with powders.Everything was sealed with dull coat.

All three of the units together.

Don't forget to weather the interiors.

This third car I put the finishing weathering touches on this morning. The unit is an Athearn model that a few days ago was painted black and running on the oval of track that I set up on the floor.
I was planning on redoing this model for quite some time and then when I seen Butch's model I just had to do it.Butch 31580 looks great.
First I removed the lettering using sol-v-set and a pearl pink eraser and gave it a good washing.I added the extra bracing using Evergreen angle IN 291 and painted the entire model using SCII RDG green.
After 24 hrs.I decaled the unit using TRM gondola decals along with HK and MS decals. As a reference I used the picture on page 33 of the RDG freight guide to model RDG 30539 GHt.Not sure if the brake wheel is correct, can't see it in the picture. After the decals were I applied the unit received a dull coat application.
Looking at the cover picture of 31580 on Vol.XII No.4 for 1990 of The Bee Line I decided to dress this unit up with the yellow painted grabs and stirrups.I hand painted the extra bracing, grabs and stirrups using PS RDG yellow as a primer and after drying I redid them using FQ reefer yellow.Several applications of weathering powders were applied and sealed with dull coat.
Here are views of RDG 305309 GHt.

I couldn't get a clear view of the end number application so I applied them in the manner shown below.
