We also want to hear about YOUR Reading modeling projects!

the Athearn is the reworked Roundhouse car. RCT&HS has at least one of the rebuilt HT cars in the "RDG" scheme I think it is numbered 59095.

I don't have the Atlas model in my collection. I can tell you that I compared the latest Athearn model to my March 1976 photos of HTw hoppers at Mohrsville, and the lettering is a perfect match.

Finished weathering my Atlas HTw's and HTf's.I always like weathering the inside of an open hopper, really makes it stand out when running empty.

Lets take a look at the eight units.First up the HTw's in the original scheme.I applied the weathering heavier on these two to give them the look of being in service for quite awhile.

Two views of side one of both cars.

Next up in the HTw class. These units had the simpler scheme,no herald.I added a lighter weathering to these units.

These four units are Atlas factory paints.I added the aci decals and weathered.

Lastly four HTf units. The first two are Atlas factory paints the seconded two units started as undecorated models. The were painted using SCII engine black and the decals are from HK.the RDG decals seem to be thicker then those applied by Atlas.

Before and especially after watching the eagles go down in flames(again)I added some weathering to two factory painted units.
Atlas MP15 2771.

2771 with three sisters.I plan on adding additional weathering to these three units or maybe ordering undecorated shells from Atlas and redoing them all together. The shade of green just doesn't seem right to me.
