Since finishing my 35 projects 3 months ago I completed a few more.I started with the addition of step pilots to my factory painted Atlas 405.LV 420's had the vee pilot which Atlas did not model. The addition of the pilot steps isn't correct but I like the look. It's an Atlas part painted with model master insignia red and orange.

Not such a big project.

Next I worked on an Atlas SD35 that's been in the box since they were first produced.I added the horns to the correct positions on the roof and added the Sinclair antenna.Painted the trucks and fuel tank and gave the unit some light weathering.Wind deflectors were also added along with KD scale couplers.

My third project is another Atlas factory painted model. The RS stand in for LV's low nose RS11's.I used the Cal Scale detail kit for this unit along with other details.Part were hand painted and the unit was weathered. The roof walk on the short hood is a cut to fit KD part.

Nice job as usual, Chris. I really like the CNJ SD35. I have one as well, but it's still in the box. One of these days...--Dave

+1 on the nice work Chris! I have one of those Atlas SD-35s too, but it is in PC paint. I wonder if these locomotives would have found their way to the Reading had it survived. It doesn’t take much imagination to see what they would look like in Reading’s final all green paint and yellow end strip scheme. Just flip the strips around and add a couple diamonds!
Thanks, Mark

Project four.Unit started out as an undecorated Atlas product.Model Master insignia red and orange,FQ grimey black for the trucks and fuel tank.MS decals and various detail parts added.Unit weathered with paint, powders and pencil.
Three of the LV 420's did not have the yellow stripe applied around the cab 406,409 and 411.

Projects four and five.I didn't forget that this is the RDG site.
I did 3600 next,I did this unit previously with the older LL unit and over time decided to redo with the newer P2K offering.Painted with SCII RDG green and PS RDG yellow,MS decals and weathered.Added wipers, arm rest, wind deflectors, speed recorder and mu cables.

3600&3611

Project five
I wanted to replicate 19374 found on page83 0f Bossler's book.I could not find any decals to match the script of the RDG and car numbers so I used the HB Graphics RDG decals. The unit is an Accural 5500 series bc with superior doors it came decorated for IC.After stripping the car was painted with SCII RDG green and the trucks and wheel faces were painted FQ grimey black, weathered with pastels and pencil.

Coupled to the double door I did earlier.
