All the color in those pictures makes me almost wish I was modeling into the 60s! (almost...)

Nice steam Casey!

Here's how my layout currently sits. I'm working on weathering my buildings so I can scenic around them.

My newly finished 636.My goal was to represent the correct application of green and yellow paint. As we know all the repainted 7's have some differences on the paint application. With that said, sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees.I totally over looked the smaller fan above the dynamic brake, didn't realize this till after the painting was completed.I decided I could live with it.
The model was painted with PS RDG yellow and SCII RDG green.
Models left side.

One of the unique features on the paint separation on 636 was found in front of the dynamic brake blister on the left side of the unit...only the left side.Notice the green angles from the corner of the grill to the bottom of the blister.

On the front of the unit I mounted the smaller grab iron to the right of the hand brake. And because the drop steps were mounted higher I replaced them with DA early GP drop steps and mounted them in the down position.Sorry for the out of focus shots.

Short hood, added the curved grab.DA caboose grab cut to fit. Also the drop step.

Shot of the cab with the application of the class,hp and builders plate.

One thing to note is that the green applied to the bottom of the long hood on 636 is slightly lower then 623,by one louver slot.
Right side.
