Added five more gons to the roster.Again I used the Walthers car for my GHy stand-ins to compliment 38789.

38734

38745

38752

High angle of all five units loaded with Walthers steel coils.

The fifth addition was the remaining MTH car that was originally factory painted for the RDG.I modeled a GHu referencing a picture I have in my collection.

Another completed project was my 2777.I never really liked the shade of green applied by Atlas.I ordered a couple of undecorated shells and 77 is my first redo.2771/72 are waiting in the wings.

Added an LOr to my roster. The LOr class consisted of 150 cars 78750 to 78899.According to Bobb Losse's book 81 of the cars had plastic linings dedicated to sugar service and at least one 78825 had the Savings Bond logo.I modeled that particular car years ago using a Con Cor offering so this unit has a different number and also the logo. Was the logo applied to this unit? Couldn't find any photo evidence one way or the other.
The model is a Walther's offering that was originally painted in the GN scheme.I removed the lettering and painted the model with SCII D&H gray along with the trucks.HK decals were applied and the weathering was done using pan pastels.

Not completely prototypical but it will do.

Another recent addition is the Atlas 50ftr factory painted in the banner scheme. My model came with a broken stirrup step so I replaced all of them with A-line stirrups.I added some extra decals from the RDG modeler line and painted and re-painted all the ladder rungs and grabs.Kadee's were added and the unit was weathered with pan pastels.

Atlas classed this car as XMd,according to Bossler's book this car number 115457 was classed XMz.The other RDG road number offered by Atlas is correctly classed XMd...just pointing it out.The unit did not come with tack boards for the doors so I'll have to fix that later.

Pictures of both recently added units

Neat. Was the yellow on green "Bee" actually used on any Reading equipment? Thanks for your posts!
